In mid 2014 we were asked to review a beautiful site located on a small and isolated peninsula on the north west coast of Lombok and to prepare a concept design for a luxury boutique hotel.

The dominant feature of the gently sloping site is the north western view to Indonesia's second largest Volcano, Mt Rinjani and this quickly became a focus of the site planning.

With inspiration from Noosa luxury hotel and villa architectural design the the intention of the concept is to maximise these views from all Villas and to minimise the visual disturbance of the site from the sea and surrounding landscape. Local materials and building techniques will be blended with contemporary detailing and there will be a strong emphasis on low energy design and construction.

The Hotel will consist of Reception and bar, 32 villas and apartments, shop, terrace bar, wellnes centre, poolside restaurant and bar.
