In the wake of the horrendous traffic that descends upon Noosa over the Christmas and other Holidays, the local Council has called for ideas from the Public for possible ways to reduce the impact of holiday traffic. So with this in mind I finally put my thoughts in the computer and created a quick model of a first concept.
The idea is to provide permanent storage options for locals to rent and leave their surfcraft at the beach on a permanent basis. These "Surfsheds" would be located adjacent to existing carparks and washdown facilities. This would mean that regular users of the beach could store all their surfcraft and belongings at Noosa and then they could use alternative ways to get to Noosa Main and Noosa West Beach, such as public transport, walking, biking or motorbike/scooter. This would hopefully reduce car usage to Noosa and The Woods and subsequently congestion.
